Infrared saunas use the same type of heat as the sun without the ultraviolet rays we know to be harmful. Instead of heating the air, infrared saunas use radiant heat to penetrate the body directly to help detoxify, relieve pain and reduce inflammation.
We have chosen the Evolve 20 Infrared 2 person Sauna for our clients, which is a revolutionary 360 degree Surround sauna delivering more heat to more of your body.
This is also one of the most powerful and effective Infrared Sauna Designs with ultra-low EMF of less than 1.0mG EMF (many saunas measure 100+ mG) and near zero ELF. It has higher power concentration – over 35 watts/ft3 ( most have only 20-30watts/ft3) and is the power of a typical 3 person Sauna, concentrated in a 2 person size.
This means there is more infrared heat and higher air temperature – PLUS this model has Complete 360 degree surround Infrared heating. What this means is that you have the maximum Infrared delivered to your body and a faster heavier sweat.
We do not use mineral oils on our Sauna, we use natural soap and water and we use home grown NZ beeswax which is sustainable and natural – and it smells great !
Our Sauna experience is in total a 60 min booking – 45 mins in sauna and 15 mins to shower, dress etc.
You are provided with a fresh towel, Zazen Alkaline water to drink, bluetooth, a choice of colours to set for your sauna experience, (but please leave the device outside of the sauna on the stool as well as your phones, as heat can explode lithium batteries), a beautiful shower with organic shampoo and conditioner and natural body wash.
All of our towels are washed in Tri Nature Washing powder which is Australian owned, we have a small glass of water and peppermint oil in the sauna to keep it smelling lovely and fresh, and we clean our sauna with a combination of Tri Nature Sphagnum moss disinfectant and eucalyptus Supre cleanser. We also wax all of the internal the wood with natural beeswax from New Zealand – rather than mineral oil which is the standard procedure.
We ask you to simply ensure you are finished on the hour, as we need time to clean and prepare the sauna for our next guest, and also please disconnect your phone from our bluetooth so that the next person can connect.
Please bring your own after care, as in Deodorant and Skincare, as the skincare testers in the salon are reserved for our Beauty clients.
